Sketch Time

This weeks challenge on http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ is Sketch Time, so I used up bits of left overs for the matting and layering, (my box of bits doesn't get any smaller) pulled a few stems of flowers from a bunch and added one of my embroidered topper.

This is my entry for http://craftyannschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ I chose the righthand column ribbon/bauble/gold. I have embroidered onto organza then attached to gold card adding a ribbon down the spine and the bow was a little bit of organza that was cut off (waste not want not)

Now there is a certain person out there that will recognise this card I won't give your age away by naming you. But the card fits the bill so had to use it. I machine embroidered the whole card front  then attached to the card with brads.

My entry for http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ I used bits of card stock I had left over and punched with a border punch and a circle punch other bits and bobs that were lurking around and then added one of my embroidered butterflies with a brad. So really this card is made with left overs.

Been busy uploading more bits onto my website.
Why are all these companies in it together to make money from the little man. To keep my costs as low as possible I am not using Paypal etc as they charge extortionate rates, example if I sell something for £1 I have to pay a quarter to them. which means I don't even cover my costs. If I put up my prices I loose customers, yet customers are reluctant to send payment by post. What's a girl to do. Any solutions gratefully received

CD Sunday Sunsets

New Web Site

Finally got my new web site up and running  http://craftybrensembroideredtoppers.weebly.com , I decided not to sell all the things I used to on my old site, I will just stick to embellishments and toppers.

These are the sort of large embroidered toppers I will be selling, not the made up cards anymore.

Feel free to take a look, it's still building but I have to embroider all new items for the site as I can't use the old ones, so it takes time.

Don't you just love this image, I have even done a bit of inking around the sides, a thing I never do as it never looks right to me, others do it and it goes, I do it and, well say no more, this time I was happier about it.

Back to my stitching, I still think  stitching is probably my first love in card making.

6 October

This one was a comp for Sharon Duncan, the girlie images are hers and we had to make a card with them, this was what I did and trimmed their hats and muffs with shredded plastic.
Afraid the picture doesn't show it very well but it did look glisteny.

5 October

Something a little different, well you have to have a change now and again, so I put 4 strands of 4ply together to make this little bag.

4 October

This card was for a friend, I embroidered onto heavy weight vellum and then used brads  to attach it to the card stock. Then a stamped message and bow finished it off.

3 October

Trying out different folds on the Hougie, My friend sent me a lot of knicker lace (she can no longer see well enough to continue her sewing) so thought I  would use some on my cards. So long as I don't tell where the lace should be ha ha.

New Template

This one was a New Template I tried out, no stitching in sight, but I did try a bit of distressing, still not sure if I like that look. Although it doesn't show up to well in the piocture.

Sorry about the background, it's my messy craft room, I couldn't find a space space.

First of the Month

Were has the year gone every year passes quicker or seems to.
 I have just organised this months ATC and Craft Challenge over on the naughty step as I can't put any on C.O.T.N. till they sort their problems out, if ever they do. Hope everyone realises were they have gone.

This was for my nephews wedding, yes more stitching.

First Challenge

Our first monthly card challenge will be starting over on the Naughty Step this Sunday it will run until the last Friday of the month. We have a talented organiser, Jacki, and she will have something different every month for us. This is a fun challenge but there will be a small incentive, this month it is 10 A4 sheets of mixed decoupage and card kits.
